Sunday, July 8, 2012- Visit with the Family

In Kremmling (and Frisco), CO (0 Miles)

As with every day off, I cook up a big breakfast of pancakes, eggs and bacon. After we all filled our bellies and cleaned up, we headed out for a rendezvous with my brother and his family in Frisco, CO.

We met for lunch at the Summit Eatery Restaurant in Frisco and enjoyed some good food and company. Kurt and Denine and the boys (Mitchel, Alex, Jacob, and Rich) were very gracious to make the 1 1/2 drive from Denver to meet with us. As a token of our momentous meeting, they presented me with an autographed baseball with all of their names on it. That was very cool! After lunch we walked through an art festival which was taking place in downtown Frisco. Then, we drove a short distance to a park next to the Dillon Reservoir Lake to lounge by in the outdoors. While the adults visited, the boys threw stones in the water and scoured the shore for treasures. It was a very enjoyable afternoon!

Now it is back to camp and the preparations to move on down the road tomorrow.

  1. Welcome to CO Tim. Hope you don't get too wet while you are in Colorado, but that is better than 100 plus temperature... I am passing through Denver Tuesday, I will keep my eyes on the road for you.
Happy Trails and Travel to you all,
    Craig Burden

    1. Hey Craig...thanks for the note. We are doing well, but since we entered the plains of Colorado and Kansas, the temperature has climbed dramatically!
