Monday, June 4, 2012 Osburn, Idaho to Astoria, Oregon (We Made It)

We tried to push out early in the morning from Idaho, as they were predicting heavy winds, rain, and large hail all the way from Oregon, Washington and into Utah (neat...NOT!). But, the ran into a small batch of rain but nothing serious. The drive along the Columbia River enroute to Astoria on I-84 had some breath taking views. I mean really WOW! There were a number of dams along the way plus you could see Washington state on the Northside as we drove along the Oregon Coast on the south side. Once we arrived at the Fort Stevens State Park in Astoria, we then went exploring Astoria's downtown. Lots of pretty views! So, we were settled in for the night and they still were predicting bad storms, but thankfully it only rained. So, the bicycle ride starts in the morning.
